Terms of sale and use

These terms apply when you download, try or buy TalkMate. TalkMate is operated by an Australian sole trader based in Victoria. By using the app, you agree to these terms.

Beta access

TalkMate is free during beta. When beta ends, you will need a paid licence to keep dictating. This also applies to older versions of the app. Your data stays on your device.

Your licence

Existing paid licences remain valid during and after beta. A paid licence lets you use TalkMate on Macsdevices you own or control. It does not expire.

Licence rules

• Do not share, resell or publish your licence key.
• Do not use one licence across an organisation.
• Do not reverse engineer the app or bypass licence checks, except where the law permits it.

We may deactivate a key that is shared, refunded, charged back or used to bypass the licence check.

Payment and refunds

The seller named on your receipt processes your payment.

You can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase for any reason. Email [email protected]. A refund ends the licence. This policy does not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law or other laws that apply to you.

Your content

Your dictation belongs to you. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

Accuracy and liability

Speech recognition can make mistakes. Check your text before using or sending it.

Where the law allows, our total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. This does not exclude any right or guarantee that the law says cannot be excluded.

Governing law

These terms follow the laws of Victoria, Australia. You keep any consumer rights that apply where you live.
